Dr. Thomas E. Blockley, a cornerstone of the Chattanooga dental community, began his journey at Red Bank High School where he excelled as an accomplished wrestler. He furthered his education at Middle Tennessee State University, graduating with a BS in Chemistry and Biology, before earning his dental degree (DDS) from The University of Tennessee in 1974.

Fueled by a passion to serve his community, Dr. Thomas worked for the Chattanooga Public Health Department for a year after graduation. In 1975, he established his own private dental practice in Red Bank, laying the foundation for what would become the esteemed Blockley Dental, a practice now known for its family-centered approach and commitment to excellence.

Throughout his long and distinguished career, Dr. Thomas has remained dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care in a compassionate and comfortable environment. His unwavering commitment to his patients has helped countless individuals achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.

Beyond his dedication to general dentistry, Dr. Thomas has been a strong advocate for the advancement of the dental profession. He is a proud member of the Chattanooga Area Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. His leadership extends to serving as past president of the Chattanooga Area Dental Society, and he was recognized as a finalist for the Tennessee Dentist of the Year award in 2010. His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his Fellowships in both the American College of Dentistry (FACD) and the International College of Dentistry (FICD).

Driven by a deep belief in service, Dr. Thomas has participated in numerous medical and dental mission trips to Honduras and Haiti, providing vital dental care to those in need. He and his wife, Karen, continue to demonstrate their commitment to the community by volunteering their time at the Lone Oak Free Dental Clinic on Signal Mountain, as well as the Inner-City Dental Clinic and the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Clinic.

Dr. Thomas is a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and enjoys spending quality time with Karen and their family. When he's not at the practice, you can find him pursuing his love for hunting, fishing, and staying active.
